RACE MIXING AND NEANDERTHALS

Europeans are not a pure “race”, they carry 1–4% Neanderthal DNA, proof their ancestors didn’t just mix with other humans but with a different subspecies of Homo (man).

In any case, there is no such thing as race. Skin colour, the supposed foundation of race does reflect ancestry, but only in the narrowest sense. It is a simple adaptation to sunlight, not a marker of deep genetic division. Studies show more variation within Africa than outside it: two Africans can be less alike genetically than either is to a swede and a chinaman. Race is a social construct created by colonists.

More importantly, when does ancestry stop becoming relevant? African Americans carry European DNA. Europeans themselves are stitched together from centuries of African, Asian and Middle Eastern admixture. Push the clock back far enough and every lineage converges in Africa, where humanity began.

Race is not science; it is paperwork masquerading as destiny. Humans have always mixed. The evidence is in every genome — right down to your Neanderthal inheritance. #racemixing #biracial #neanderthal #mudshark #mullatto #racism
